Dead On Arrival Policy

At Shark Reef Exotic Aquariums, we understand the importance of providing a clear and comprehensive policy for our customers. Our D.O.A. (Dead on Arrival) policy is designed to ensure that you have a positive experience with your livestock purchases. We care deeply about the well-being of the aquatic life we sell, and we want to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions and purchases.

D.O.A. Policy:
1. Upon purchase, it is essential for customers to inspect their livestock to ensure it is healthy and suitable for their aquatic environment before leaving the store.
2. In the unfortunate event that a fish is discovered deceased upon arrival at the customer’s home, our D.O.A. policy will cover the eligible replacement of the deceased fish.
3. To take advantage of this policy, customers must notify Shark Reef Exotic Aquariums within 2 hours of in-store pick-up, if after hours an email can be sent to info@sharkreef.fish.
4. Customers will need to provide a clear photo of the deceased fish in its sealed original packaging, bag, or container as proof of a dead arrival.
5. Eligible replacements will be subject to availability and the discretion of our team members, if a same or similar replacement can not be found, the cost of the fish will be credited to a in-store trade card.
6. Shark Reef Exotic Aquariums reserves the right to refuse replacement if it is determined that the deceased fish was not properly cared for after leaving the store.

Service Clause:

  1. Service clients with weekly service get a livestock guarantee that lasts 72 hours. 
    * Eligible replacement of fish will fall under guidelines posted above. Limit of 3 replacements for weekly service clients.
  2. Service clients with bi-weekly service and monthly service get a livestock guarantee that lasts 24 hours.
    * Eligible replacement of fish will fall under guidelines posted above. Limit of 1 replacement for bi-weekly and monthly service clients.

ALL LIVESTOCK SALES ARE FINAL:
From the second they leave the store, all fish and other livestock sales are final at Shark Reef Exotic Aquariums. As such, we encourage customers to closely examine their livestock and ask any questions they may have before making their purchase. Once the livestock leaves our store, it becomes the responsibility of the customer to ensure its well-being.
